A very good question. With high-quality blue light filtering glasses, the lenses depend on two essential factors:
1.) The blue light filtering: One the one hand, you want to filter out as much blue light as possible. Note: Other companies claim, that its also important to block out the green light. But to this day, there are no clear studies yet that prove a similar effect of green light on the human body as blue light does.
2.) Color rendering: A very underestimated second factor on the other hand is the color rendering, which says: How much contours / details can you still see in the environment despite a high blue light filter. We have decided to give up a few % in the blue light / green light filtering and instead ensure that the wearer can perceive his surroundings much better than with a 100% blue light filter.
This is also recognizable from the outside by the coloring of the lenses: Ours have a yellow-orange cast, the competition with 100% filter has a rather orange-reddish cast. We are convinced that this makes the overall performance of our glasses better than comparable products from competitors all over the world. Last but not least, a well-known light biologist from Germany was also indirectly involved in the research of these glasses.
